The Checkered Flag

For two years, I worked as The Checkered Flag's F1 correspondent. Work included reports on F1 qualifying, race reports and coverage of the 24 hour Le Mans race. This role involved collecting information, taking notes to cover all the most important aspects of a race and promoting lively debates on controversial issues and decisions. The Le Mans race coverage involved working through the night. Part of the role involved working with other team members to produce an annual collaborative piece for the website recognising the achievements of individual drivers and teams across the motorsport disciplines.

At a similar time to my work with The Checkered Flag, I also wrote a series of articles for another F1 dedicated website, PitPass. These articles were about particular incidents or talking points in the sport, as well as developments off track, including reports on F1 and motorsport themed films and video games. They were often received well, and I would get emails from readers and encourage discussion.
